There are some important rules to live by when traveling flying or sitting in a car. San Francisco fashion and lifestyle blog, Just Add Glam, and the fashionista behind the flawless looks, Jennifer, shares her go to travel style and rules she lives by when dressing and preparing for a trip.
Her first rule: keep it simple. For example, accessories (jewelry, belts, etc.) can stay in your bag and wait to come out till you reach your destination. This rule applies to shoes too. The more simple the shoe the better for taking them off and putting them back on for the TSA.
Her second rule is, and this one is key, DONT CHECK LUGGAGE. There are many good reasons for this one but Jennifer highlights some key reasons to keep your luggage with you rather then at the bottom of the plane.
Her third rule: protect your tech. This includes but is not limited too; laptops, phones, and tablets. Make sure to each one is its respective cases and/or special compartment of your personal bag. Though you may have to take them out for security, you are better safe then sorry!
Just to recap, the more simple you keep it the better, for you and everyone behind you in the security line. There are only a few reasons you should ever have to check luggage, and by few we mean you should almost NEVER have to check luggage, so don't! Finally, with all the moving and shifting that goes on with travel you should protect all your tech gear. You don't want to get to your destination and find your laptop now has a hug crack in it because it was not in a good case! That will definitely put a damper on the trip.
