If you are in the area...

  • Embarcadero Center: Near Pier 3, the Embarcadero Centers is a great little center with some nice options. Center 1 is mainly business. Center 2 is a mix of food and retail. Center 3 is mainly retail, and center 4 is focused mainly on food. Make sure to go to the top floor to sit and enjoy the view of the Bay Bridge on one end, and a nice city view on the other. Size: small ; Looking to spend: $$-$$$
  • Castro Street: Heading up Market Street, you can see the large Castro theater marquee drawing you in to the Castro District. Along Castro Street from Market to about 19th street are some boutiques that you can find only in the Castro.
